Hoedown Countdown

Posted on September 7, 2016 by Rebecca Davis

The first Havelock Hoedown will be held on Havelock Rec on Saturday 10th September, from 12 – 4pm.

Just 3 days to go to the Havelock Hoedown! We have organised lots of fabulous things for you to make this a great fun family event. Here’s what you can expect:
– Music and dancing with our very own line dancing caller
– Bucking bronco
– Bouncy castle
– Western themed games with big prizes (ok they’re small prizes but still fun)
– Fairground rides for the kids
– Tombola
– Raffle – guess the weight of the cake to win it
What you can eat:
– Cake stall (see above) – maybe don’t start with cake
– BBQ
– Hog Roast
– Curry
– Crepes
– Candy floss
– Ice cream
And there will also be a selection of craft stalls selling things like chilli jam, bunting and teepees.

HOW TO FIND US

map

Unfortunately there is no parking on site and restrictions apply on the surrounding streets from 12-2. However the 336 bus will get you to our doorstep. Or it’s a 15 minute walk from Bromley South or Bickley train stations.

CAN YOU HELP?

If you’d like to help us make the event a success, you can do so. Here are three ways you can help.

1. CAKES
Bake or buy (we won’t tell) us some cakes for our donated cake stall. Just bring them along to the cake stall before 12 while we’re setting up and we’ll sell them. It’s a great way for us to make money.

2. TOMBOLA DONATIONS
For this event, it’s an over 18s tombola, where you can win alcohol – you could win a bottle of wine for £2 if you’re lucky enough. Help us stock up the saloon! Drop off your donations to Emma’s house at 55 Bourne Road (leave in the porch if there’s no answer) before the event or bring it with you before set up on the day.

3. BE THERE!
Most important of all, please be there to support us! Bring as many family members and friends as you can muster!

We really hope you’ll be there to support us on Saturday.
